Ministry asks authorities to prepare for reopening primary schools
The Primary and Mass Education Ministry has issued guidelines for reopening and running schools accordingly
The Primary and Mass Education Ministry has directed the authorities concerned to take preparations for reopening primary schools maintaining health guidelines in the backdrop of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country.
An advisory signed by the deputy secretary of the ministry, Shamim Ara Nazneen, was issued on Tuesday in this regard.
It mentioned measures that should be taken following health guidelines before reopening schools.
The ministry has also directed the authorities concerned to take steps to deliver the advisory to the school level so that they can take preparations accordingly.
The directive has asked school authorities to follow at least 35 rules, including asking all teachers, staff, and students to wear masks, wash hands and follow all other hygiene rules.
Considering the infrastructure of schools and the number of students, the plan will be prepared by arranging teaching of multiple classes in one shift or one day of the week, read the notification.
