Quota-dependent admissions suspended for govt medical colleges
The admission process of quota-dependent candidates in government medical colleges for the 2024-25 academic year has been suspended for the time being.
In a notice signed by Director AKM Ahsan Habib (Medical Education) of the Directorate General of Medical Education, dated 29 January, it said the decision was made in accordance with a meeting deliberating online application and migration for admission to the MBBS course in the medical colleges.
The verification of certificates/proofs in favour of the quota of candidates initially selected in all quotas is ongoing.
Until further instructions are given, it is requested to suspend the admission process of students initially selected in all quotas.
Earlier on 20 January, the Directorate General of Medical Education put on hold the results of 193 candidates selected under the Freedom Fighter (FF) children quota for the 2024-25 medical admission test, pending further verification.
