Reopening of educational institutions may delay: Minister
"We are observing the situation. The date of reopening educational institutions may be deferred if the Covid infection rate continues to rise," she said
Education Minister Dipu Moni has said the date of reopening educational institutions may be deferred if the infection of Covid-19 keeps rising in the country.
"We are observing the situation. The date of reopening educational institutions may be deferred if the corona infection continues to rise," she said, adding that safety of students, teachers and other concerned comes first.
The minister came up with the remark following a growing number of Covid-19 cases were recorded in the recent days, reports Somoy TV. She was speaking at a press conference in the capital's International Mother Language Institute, organised on the occasion of the 10-day programme slated to be held on 17-26 March to mark the birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the golden jubilee of independence.
