Students vandalise nameplate of Bangabandhu, Fazilatunnesa halls at RU

A group of agitating students have vandalised the nameplate of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Hall residential halls at Rajshahi University campus.
Around 9:15pm today (5 February), some students gathered at Joha Chattar on the campus following an earlier directive.
Later, the students moved towards the residential hall, vandalised the nameplate in front of it and renamed it as Bijoy24 Hall, said sources.

Meanwhile, the students have renamed the under-construction Shaheed AHM Qamaruzzaman Hall to Shaheed Ali Raihan Hall.
As of filing this report, the agitated students were present at the under-construction hall, said sources.
When asked about their next move, students said they have a plan to move towards the under-construction Sheikh Hasina Hall and demolish its nameplate.
