UGC delegation visits Chittagong Independent University
During the visit, the delegates made a view exchange meeting with Dr Mahfuzul Hoque Chowdhury, vice-chancellor of the university
A University Grants Commission (UGC) delegation have expressed their satisfaction with the wide-range initiatives the Chittagong Independent University (CIU) has adopted to spread quality education.
The UGC delegates on Thursday morning visited the university's campus in the Jamal Khan area of the port city where they made positive remarks about the educational quality of the university, said a media statement issued by the university.
During the visit, the delegates made a view exchange meeting with Dr Mahfuzul Hoque Chowdhury, vice-chancellor of the university.
They also visited the university's class rooms, laboratory, and library to observe the educational environment at the university.
UGC Member Dr Biswajit Chanda led the four-member delegation.
Speaking about the event, Dr Mahfuzul Hoque Chowdhury, vice-chancellor of CIU, said, "We have changed the conventional attitude of people towards private universities in the country through our modern educational curriculum and educational atmosphere."
"The guardians of our students are highly satisfied with the educational quality we are practising here," he added.
