Ershad’s second janaza held on the parliament premises

The second namaz-e-janaza of the former military dictator and Jatiya Party chairman HM Ershad held at the south plaza of the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) on Monday.

His body was taken to the party's central office at Kakrail to allow Jatiya Party leaders and activists to pay their last respect.

After Asr prayer, another janaza will be held at the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque.
Ershad’s body will be kept at the CMH mortuary and will be flown to his home district Rangpur on Tuesday. His fourth janaza will be held after Zohr prayers at the Zilla School ground.
His body will be returned to Dhaka and will be buried at the Military Graveyard in Banani on the same day.
Ershad's qulkhwani will be held on Wednesday at Gulshan's Azad mosque.
Earlier, his first janaza was held at the Army Central Mosque on Sunday.
Ershad, a former military strongman, died on Sunday morning at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH). He was 89.
