A nine-year-old young florist, who was missing for the last six days, has been claimed to be found in Narayanganj by the Detective Branch of Police.
"DMP Detective Branch has arrested one in connection with the abduction of Jinia," said Mishu Biswas, additional deputy commissioner of the Detective Branch (Ramna), confirming the matter to The Business Standard last night.
Jovial Jinia is a common face at the TSC area in Dhaka University, where she used to sell flowers to support her family.
According to a witness and Jinia's mother, she was eating chatpati with two strangers when her mother saw her last. They asked her mother for permission to take her with them but she didn't respond and walked away. As she returned ten minutes later, Jinia was nowhere to be found.
The distressed mother said, "If I ever get my daughter back, we will return to our hometown and will never come back to this city."
Earlier, her elder sister also went missing who was found 11 years later.
