Govt orders the transfer of 13 B’baria SIs
According to the official order, the transfer of 10 of the SIs is in the public interest while the remaining 3 SIs have been transferred for administrative reasons
The government has ordered the simultaneous and immediate transfer of 13 Sub-Inspectors (SIs) from Brahmanbaria District Police.
Brahmanbaria Additional Superintendent of Police (Administration and Crime), Mohammad Raich Uddin, confirmed news of the transfers and said the transfer orders sent from the Chittagong Range Deputy Inspector General's (DIG) office, reached the Superintendent of Police's office on Tuesday
According to the official order, the transfer of 10 of the SIs is in the public interest while the remaining 3 SIs have been transferred for administrative reasons.
All of the transferred personnel have been asked to get clearance to join their new workplaces by May 29. Otherwise, their inability to join their new workplaces by the designated date will be treated as a stand release or immediate release from May 30, the order said.
With regard to the transfers, Additional Superintendent of Police Raich Uddin said, "According to official terminology, transfer in the public interest refers to the regular transfer of an employee. If an employee provides his or her services in a particular vicinity for a long time, he is generally transferred in the public interest as part of a regular transfer."
"But transfer due to administrative reasons is not part of an employee's regular transfer. Rather when the administration deems that a particular employee is not fit or eligible to provide his services to a particular office, the administration transfers him to another place where they deem he or she is suitable to provide service," added Raich.
