Huge shredded notes found in Bogura
All the notes are old and had been cut down with any machine.
Huge amount of shredded notes of Tk1,000, Tk500 and Tk100 found in a roadside ditch in Bogura's Shahjahanpur today.
Upon noticing the shredded notes on the road, locals recovered around ten sacks full of damaged notes from adjacent ditch and informed police.
Municipal councilor Arifur Rahman said: "Bangladesh Bank sent letter to destroy the invalid notes.

"We are not fully aware about how the notes ended up near the ditch area."
Municipality authority ordered a driver to destroy the notes, he further added.
Officer-in-Charge of Shahjahanpur police station Azim Uddin said: "All the notes are old and had been shredded down with any machine."
Police took the money sacks to the police station. The search operation is underway as of filing of this report at 2.30pm.
