Local journalists in Noakhali organised a human chain demanding justice for the murder of journalist Burhan Uddin Muzakki who was shot dead on Monday during a clash between two factions of Awami League in Chaprashir Hat East Bazar of Companigonj in the district.
Expressing condolences to the bereaved family, the speakers called for the immediate arrest of those involved in the killing and for increased security for media personnel.
Khorshed Alam, the President of Senbagh Press Club and Correspondent of Daily Ittefaq presided over the programme held at Senbagh Police Station intersection. MA Awal general Secretary of Senbag Press Club moderated the Human chain programme.

Journalist Jahangir Alam Patwari, Bashir Uddin, Dr Mohammad Ibrahim, Farhad Hossain Selim, Alamgir Nani, Fakhar Uddin, Gias Uddin Swapan and many others were also present at the programme.
