Indian High Commissioner commits to training Bangladeshi judges
The relations, faith and trust between Bangladesh and India were also discussed
Law Minister Anisul Haque and the Indian high commissioner discussed cooperation as well as training of the judges and lawyers of the judicial system and High Courts of Bangladesh, said the minister after a meeting with newly-appointed Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Vikram Doraiswami in Gulshan on Tuesday afternoon.
"There has been a discussion on how the institutions we have for cooperation and training between the judges, chief justices of the High Courts and lawyers of both countries will work," Anisul Haque said.
"We discussed the relations between Bangladesh and India. The friendship will be stronger gradually. We have talked about this faith and trust," said the minister.

"Our discussions were friendly," he said adding, "we think we will continue this discussion and will put into practice what I said."
"The judicial system in both our countries is almost the same, allowing us to learn and work from each other. There is no obstacle for cooperation between the two countries," said Indian High Commissioner Doraiswami.
The Indian high commissioner also said the role of the law minister in the judicial system of Bangladesh is commendable. India has historical ties with Bangladesh and will cooperate with the prime minister, law minister and general public.
