Jaywalker killed in accident on Dhaka-Mawa expressway
A 60-year-old unidentified man was killed after being hit by an unidentified vehicle on the Dhaka-Mawa Expressway in Sirajdikhan, Munshiganj.
The accident occurred around 7am today (13 February) in the Nimtala area of Keyain Union in the upazila.
Abdul Kader Jilani, officer-in-charge (OC) of Hasara Highway police station, said, "The man was crossing the road on the Dhaka-bound service lane of the Dhaka-Mawa Expressway, approximately 1,000 yards south of the Nimtala underpass when he was struck by an unidentified vehicle. After being hit, he fell to the right side of the service lane and died on the spot."

The body was taken to Hasara Highway police station, and efforts are underway to identify the deceased, police said.
Highway police initially reported that the deceased was a beggar.
Meanwhile, traffic movement on the expressway remains normal.
