The Bangladesh Food Safety Authority (BFSA) has imposed a Tk1 lakh fine on Kachchi Dine restaurant in Chattogram for a series of hygiene violations.
The operation, led by Executive Magistrate Atanu Barua, took place this afternoon (23 January) in the Steel Mill area under Patenga Police Station.

The kitchen was found to be in a state of disarray and lacking proper cleanliness, he said.
"The refrigerator contained minced meat of mutton, chicken, and jali kebab without any proper labeling, and alarmingly, blood clots were observed within," he added.
Additionally, the restaurant was found to be using Regard Keora water, an unauthorised chemical, in their cooking process.
Based on these findings, a fine of Tk1 lakh was imposed on the restaurant under the provisions of the Food Safety Act.
