Khatunganj's glorious heritage should be brought back: Adviser Farooq
“This is the last chance for reform. We have not come to stay in power for a long time, we have come to change,” he said
Khatunganj's glorious heritage in Chattogram should be brought back by any means, Liberation War Affairs Adviser Farooq-e-Azam said today (12 October).
"Khatunganj is the heart of commerce. Trade is inextricably linked with the psyche of Chattogram's people. So let us know what would be the best way to eliminate the mismanagement. We will try to solve the problems," the adviser said at a views exchange programme with businessmen of Khatunganj at Chattogram Circuit House this morning.
Pointing out the mismanagement in the Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the adviser said, "It is an organisation of traders. Traders themselves have to find out the discrimination and mismanagement in trade.
"It cannot be done by any individual or government alone. With your combined efforts, there will be radical reforms in business."
Farooq also stated that this is the last chance for reform.
"We have not come to stay in power for a long time, we have come to change. If we can't change now, this country is doomed. Whether professionals or businessmen, if we want to live with dignity, everyone must come together," he added.
