Korean restaurant sealed off in Chattogram, 2 foreigners warned
There are 973 people in home quarantine in Chattogram so far
A mobile court in Chattogram sealed off a Korean Restaurant in Khulshi area on Tuesday.
The court also issued a warning to two foreign nationals as they broke home quarantine and was roaming around in the area.
Executive Magistrate of the district administration Md Touhidul Islam led the mobile court.
Touhidul Islam said, "Many citizens of India, Japan, Korea, China, Malaysia and other countries live in Khulshi area of the city. During the drive, I found out that a Japanese citizen returned from his country on March 11 and went straight to work. He works in a factory in Chattogram EPZ. Also, a Korean national arrived in Bangladesh on March 15 and roamed in the public. The two have been instructed to stay in home quarantine. A Korean restaurant has also been closed in the same area for violating the order."
"Khulshi police station has been directed to collect information on foreigners who are not complying with the home quarantine rules. The information will later be given to the embassy of their respective countries," the magistrate added.
There are 973 people in home quarantine in Chattogram so far. No Covid-19 patient has been identified yet in the district.
