Mercury dips 2.9 degrees Celsius lower on second day of cold wave
The maximum temperature forecast for Dhaka today will be 23.7 degrees Celsius.
Mercury is likely to hit 7.9 degrees Celsius tonight at Chuadanga as a cold wave is fully about to hit in the next 48 hours.
The cold wave may continue till January in many parts of the country, confirmed Monowar Hossain, Meteorologist, Bangladesh Meteorological Department.
The Met office in its forecast for the next 24 hours says weather will remain dry with partly cloudy sky over the country.
The minimum temperature forecast for Dhaka today is 13 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature forecast for the country is 7.9 degrees Celsius.
The maximum temperature forecast for Dhaka today will be 23.7 degrees Celsius.
As per the information from the Met office's website, the maximum temperature was 23.3 degrees Celsius in Teknaf yesterday.
The cold wave will be accompanied by chilly gusts of wind and a dense layer of fog with no to little sunlight.
