Miscreants storm dairy farm in Cox’s Bazar, loot cattle
Armed miscreants stormed a dairy farm in Cox's Bazar's Khurushkul area and looted five cows in the early hours of Monday (26 August).
The incident took place in Midway Dairy Farm situated on the bank of Bakkhali river around 2:30am.
Saleh Ahmad, a retired agriculturist and owner of the farm, said, "A group of armed miscreants arrived in a truck and attacked his property in the dead of night. The attackers tied up the guards and employees at gunpoint."
He said a valuable calf and four foreign-breed dairy cows were looted and loaded onto the truck.
Five employees were injured in the incident. They have been sent to Cox's Bazar Sadar Hospital for treatment.
According to Ahmad, three individuals of the miscreant group were identified as Haider Ali, Sikander, and Kuizza. All are the residents of Manupara in Khurushkul.
A complaint was filed at Cox's Bazar Sadar Police Station regarding the incident.
Md Mashiur Rahman, officer-in-charge (investigation) of Cox's Bazar Sadar Model Police Station, confirmed the incident and said officers visited the crime scene after receiving the written compliant.
He assured that appropriate legal action would be taken.
