The government has appointed Muhammad Syed Ali, deputy secretary of the Central Digital Cell of the Ministry of Commerce, as the administrator of the e-Commerce Association of Bangladesh (e-CAB).
The ministry issued a circular, signed by its Additional Secretary Dr Naznin Kawser Chowdhury, under section 17 of the Trade Organizations Act, 2022 in this regard today (11 September).
The new administrator would hand over the responsibilities to the newly elected body of the trade organisation by holding a free and fair election within 120 days and thus apprise the development to the ministry, according to the circular.
