Police-Hefazat clash in Ctg: 4 bodies handed over to family
The bodies were taken to the residences of the four families under police protection at 9 pm after the autopsies were conducted at the morgue of Chattogram medical college and hospital (CMCH).
Bodies of four people who were killed in clash with police at Hathazari in Chattogram on Friday, have been handed over to their families on Saturday.
The bodies were taken to the residences of the four families under police protection at 9 pm after the autopsies were conducted at the morgue of Chattogram medical college and hospital (CMCH).
The deceased are Rabiul Hossain of Manoharganj in Cumilla district; Nasrullah of Badalganj area of Naogaon; Kazi Sirajul Islam of Madaripur and Wahidul Islam of Raozan, Chattogram.
Their bodies will be buried under police management in collaboration with the local administration, said Assistant Commissioner of Police Shahidul Islam.
Among the deceased 3 of them are Hefazat activists while Wahidul Alam of Raozan worked in a tailor's shop in Hathazari.
Earlier on Friday, 4 people were shot dead in clashes between Hefazat men and the police during ongoing anti-Modi protests in Hathazari after Jumma prayers.
