According to the Uber Lost and Found Index Bangladesh 2020, most forgetful days of the week are Thursday and Friday while people are most likely to forget their items between 2pm to 5pm.
Uber has released the third edition of the Index on Thursday.
According to Uber, top 10 most commonly forgotten items are: phone, camera, bags and wallets, clothing, glasses, umbrella, keys, groceries, headphones, and water bottles.
Last year, objects including phones, cameras, and bags top the list of items left in Ubers across Bangladesh, followed by utility items like wallets, keys, clothing, and umbrellas in the top ten most forgotten item category.
The top most unique lost items include medicines prescriptions, box of sweets or chocolates, artworks, drawing book and pencils, gajorer halua, mosquito net, a crest, a bottle of ghee, cricket bat, among others.
Backed by rider insight and captivating data, the Lost and Found Index aims to educate riders in fun yet informative manner about Uber's in-app options available to them at the tap of a button, in case they lose or forget something in their Uber during their trip.
A rider can look for "lost Items" by going to the "Menu" option of the Uber app, tapping "Your Trips" and selecting the trip where he left something. Then he has to tap "Report an issue with this trip," and then tap "I lost an item." Then he has to tap "Contact my driver about a lost item" and scroll down and enter the phone number he would like to be contacted at.
If the rider lost his phone, he can enter a friend's phone number instead. His phone will ring and connect him directly with his driver's mobile number. If the driver picks up and confirms that the rider's item has been found, he will coordinate a mutually convenient time and place to meet the rider.
If a passenger is unable to connect with the driver, he can use 'in-app support' to report the loss and seek Uber Support Team's help.
