SalamAir begins Chattogram-Muscat flight

Oman based low-cost carrier SalamAir has commenced Muscat-Chattogram-Muscat direct flight.
On Monday, an aircraft of SalamAir landed at Chattogram Shah Amanat International Airport at 8:45pm with 153 passengers on board from Muscat.
The same aircraft departed from Chattogam at 9:30pm with 135 passengers on board, also carrying 153 kilograms of cargo products.
As part of expanding its air connectivity between Oman and the Indian subcontinent, SalamAir has added the new direct service from Chattogram to Muscat.
Chattogram is the second destination of SalamAir in Bangladesh after Dhaka.
An inaugural ceremony was held at the airport to celebrate the commencement of passenger service on the 23rd route of SalamAir.
Oman Ambassador to Bangladesh Taib bin Salem Al Alawi, SalamAir Director (Commercial) Mazim Al Salman, Head of Sales Mohammad Al Bimowki, Chattogram Shah Amanat International airport Manager Wing Commander Sarwar-E-Jahan, SalamAir Bangladesh Country Manager Mohammad Shahabuddin and other officials were present at the ceremony.
More than seven lakh Bangladeshis are currently working in Oman. Most of them come from Chattogram. SalamAir has started the service considering them, said Mazim Al Salman.
SalamAir will soon start their service seven days a week, he added.
The organisation has the plan to start their flight service on Sylhet route within one year, said Mohammad Shahabuddin.
