Search committee formed to propose qualified candidates for info ministry
A five-member search committee was formed on Sunday (22 September) to propose qualified candidates for various boards, committees, and subcommittees within the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and its affiliated agencies.
The announcement was made in a notification signed by Deputy Secretary Md Saiful Islam.
The committee's primary goal is to ensure the effective functioning of the ministry and its associated departments by recommending skilled and competent individuals.
The search committee is tasked with submitting its proposals to the interim government within two months.
The committee will be chaired by film director and lecturer of Communication and Journalism at Bangladesh University of Professionals Md Al Amin Rakib.
Other members include filmmaker and actor Abu Bakar Wasif, film critic and social worker Md Saidul Alam Khan (Said Khan Sagar), writer and media professional Farah Binte Bashir (Farah Dolon), and former President of the Dhaka University Journalists' Association (DUJA) Md Abdullah Al Mamun (Tushar).
Additionally, the committee will advise on whether existing laws and regulations require amendments.
