Train runs over 3 children at Mohakhali crossing

Three young lives were cut short on the streets of Dhaka as they were struck by a moving train on Saturday morning.
The incident occurred around 6am in Mohakhali area, when a train, en route from Kamalapur to Dewanganj, ran over the children as they were trying to cross the railway tracks.
The children, aged between 10 and 14, remain unidentified as they have no known family members or relatives, said Officer-in-Charge Ferdous Ahmed of Kamalapur Railway Police Station.

Despite desperate warnings from onlookers, the children attempted to navigate the railway tracks, meeting their unfortunate fate on the spot, said eyewitnesses.
The bodies were sent to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue at 6:30pm, as confirmed by the police officer.
