Train services to resume from Monday: Railways Minister
No tickets will be sold at the counters; all tickets will be sold online
Train services will resume from Monday with compliance to the health guidelines, said Railways Minister Nurul Islam Sujan today.
After being suspended since 5 April to curb the Covid-19 infection, the train services will resume with only 28 pairs of intercity trains.
The minister said, "Tickets will be sold keeping the alternate seat vacant. Only 50% of tickets will be sold."
No tickets will be sold at the counters; all tickets will be sold online, he added.
The Cabinet Division issued a gazette notification allowing inter-district public transports to run, along with restaurants to serve customers at half capacity.
The ongoing countrywide lockdown has also been extended till 30 May midnight to curb the Covid-19 spread.
