The poetry collective Epar Bangla, Opar Bangla has organised a one-day poetry conference on Sunday in Bogura.
Poet Nazrul Bangali, the organising committee chairman of the conference, said, "The conference has been organised to celebrate the centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's birth."
20 poets from India, three from Nepal, and around 80 poets took part from around the country, he added.
He further said that such events were organised to help the youth take greater part in cultural activities and stay away from drug and other forms of addiction.
The Indian poet Suborni Chatterjee said, "Bringing poets from both sides of Bengal play an important role in cultural exchange."
