Two PSC staffers remanded over BCS question leak

A Dhaka court today (24 December) placed two staffers of the Public Service Commission (PSC) on five-day remand each in a case lodged with the capital's Paltan Model Police Station over alleged leaking of BCS question papers.
The two remanded accused are office assistant Md Abdul Azim and cleaner Rupon Chandra Das.
Dhaka Additional Metropolitan Magistrate Md Ziadur Rahman passed the order this afternoon.
Police arrested the duo on 17 December from in front of the PSC headquarters in the capital's Agargaon area and recovered two mobile phones, question papers of different government recruitment tests, admit cards, cheque books and cash from their possessions.
Police produced Azim and Rupon before the court on 18 December and pleaded for placing them on a 10-day remand each. The court on that day had set today for holding hearing on the remand plea.
CID sub-inspector Nippon Chandra Chanda filed the case on 8 July against 31 persons.
A total of 22 persons, including a former driver of PSC chairman, were arrested in the case so far.
