Covid-19: Khulna imposes restrictions on vehicular, public movement for 15 days
The restrictions will be in force in all upazilas of the district and in the city from 7am on Thursday
Khulna district administration has imposed restrictions on the movement of people and vehicles and businesses throughout the district for 15 days from June 11 in an attempt to stem the spread of Covid-19.
Khulna Deputy Commissioner and also district magistrate Mohammad Helal Hossain on Wednesday issued a public notice in this regard.
The restrictions will be in force in all upazilas of the district and in the city from 7am on Thursday.
According to the order, kitchen markets, grocery shops and seasonal fruit shops will remain open from 7am to 4pm every day, maintaining health and safety precautions.
People of the district are requested not to leave home after 6pm to 7 am the next day unless for buying emergency medicine, getting medication and for conducting burial rituals, the notice said.
While going out of home, people must adhere to proper health and safety rules and wear masks.
Pharmacies, banks, financial institutions, emergency services, newspapers, food, industrial goods, medical equipment, emergency and daily essentials carrying vehicles will remain out of the purview of the restrictions.
Buses operating on different routes from the district can only pick up and drop passengers at designated bus-stands not anywhere else.
People riding motorbikes can ride alone but the restrictions will be flexible for carrying family members.
