Decathlon Bangladesh donates 1 lac fabric masks to the frontline workers
Country manager of Decathlon Bangladesh Deepak D’Souza along with his team have visited the different organisations to personally hand over the fabric masks said a press release issued by the company on Sunday
Decathlon Bangladesh in conjunction with Bitopi Group has donated 100,000 masks to various public service offices of the country.

Managing Director of Bitopi Group Miran Ali and Sirajul Islam, Senior General Manager of Human Resource and Compliance of Bitopi Group, were also present for the donations the release added.
The offices where the masks were donated include Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), Dhaka South City Corporation(DSCC), Chattogram City Corporation (CCC), Bangladesh Army, Industrial Police, Bangladesh Land Port Authority, Bangladesh Administrative Service Association & Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA), Bangladesh Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) and International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research, Bangladesh (ICDDR,B).
During the donations at DNCC, Miran Ali personally expressed his appreciation to the Mayor of DNCC and said, "Decathlon has not cancelled a single order due to the Covid-19 situation".
Mr Dsouza said, "The purpose of Decathlon is to make sports accessible to the masses and to be useful to the people and the planet."
"During the coronavirus pandemic, when masks have become a very essential product to prevent the spread of the virus inside the community, we are very happy to donate these good quality fabric masks that contributes to safety and protection of front liners during these difficult times," added Mr Dsouza.
The company appreciates all the organizations for taking their time to receive and appreciate this gesture in person.
The Decathlon Team also thanks all their teammates and suppliers been involved in the success of manufacturing this mask in Bangladesh and for making this donation to the community possible with the facilitation of Bitopi Group.
