Physician dies from Covid-19 in Ctg

Another doctor has died from the novel coronavirus infection at a hospital in Chattogram today.
The deceased Dr Nurul Haq, 44, was a senior medical officer of Chattogram Metropolitan Hospital and was working at the intensive care unit (ICU).
Dr Fazle Akbar, executive director of the hospital, confirmed the matter to The Business Standard.
"He breathed his last at around 6:25 am at Chattogram Metropolitan Hospital while he was undergoing treatment for Covid-19. He was diagnosed with the virus on Monday," Dr Fazle said.
"It is a heart-rending incident that he worked at the hospital for the last 19 years and has died at the ICU here, where he had been giving treatment to the other patients. We have lost an ICU expert and a gracious doctor," he added.
He further said that Dr Nurul attended Covid-19 patients at the ICU unit of the hospital.
Dr Nurul Haq was the student of 38th batch of Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH).
Earlier on June 4, Dr Muhidul Hasan, 35, an emergency medical officer of Chattogram Medical College Hospital (CMCH), died of Covid-19.
