Supreme Court Bar president Abdul Matin Khasru on life support
Advocate Md Mahin, also former law minister, had tested positive for Covid-19 on 16 March
The president of the Supreme Court Bar Association, Advocate Abdul Matin Khasru, has been put on life support at Combined Military Hospital in Dhaka.
Advocate Md Mahin, his personal assistant, confirmed the news to The Business Standard, saying he was put on life support at 11am upon deterioration of his health condition.
He, also former law minister, had tested positive for Covid-19 on 16 March and was immediately admitted to the Dhaka CMH.
Later, he was taken to the Intensive Care Unit on 28 March. Four days later, he tested negative for the viral disease.
After slight improvement, he was shifted to the cabin on 3 April but returned to ICU again on 6 April.
Abdul Matin Khasru, a presidium member of the ruling party, was elected president of the bar association on 13 March.
