Two UP chairmen in Narail suspended for plundering relief
Local Government Division has suspended two UP chairmen for plundering rice allocated for underprivileged people suffering due to coronavirus fallout.
The two are Md Jarjid Molla, 52, UP chairman of Perli and Alauddin Chowdhury, 60, UP chairman of Jainagar in Kalia upazila.
The Local Government Division issued separate orders in this regard on Thursday, said Deputy Commissioner of the district Anjuman Ara.

On Tuesday, Md Mahfuz Iqbal, Assistant Director of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) of Jashore unit, filed two cases in this connection with the plundering.
