PM satisfied over rice quality

The rice was collected from central storage depots (CSD) and local storage depots (LSD) across the country.
While checking the samples, the prime minister expressed satisfaction over the quality of the rice that has been stored in government warehouses.
The prime minister instructed that the rice collected during the month of Bhadra in the Bangla calendar be stored on the top. She also suggested storing the newer rice at the bottom so that rice purchased earlier can be distributed first.
She directed that the rice collected in 2019 be distributed on a priority basis. She also suggested building modern warehouses like the one at Santahar in Bogura around the country.
She said modern warehouses will make it possible to store more food grain for longer periods. She also ordered the managing of rice collection across the country through a digital database.
During the press briefing, Planning Minister MA Mannan, chief secretary to the prime minister Ahmed Kaikaus, secretary to the Prime Minister's Office Md. Tofazzal Hossain Mia, and other officials from the Prime Minister's Office were present.
