Shahjalal Islami Bank MD Shahidul Islam receives Islamic Financing Personality award

M Shahidul Islam, managing director and chief executive officer of Shahjalal Islami Bank Limited has recently received the prestigious "Islamic Finance Personality of 2020" award.
He was named for this award by the renowned UK-based financial think-tank Cambridge IFA, said a press statement on Thursday.
This award recognises achievements and efforts exhibited by institutions and individuals to promote and sustain the Islamic finance industry in the local and global sphere.

The award giving ceremony was held on September 14 in Islamabad of Pakistan.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Global Islamic Finance Award (GIFA) Committee arranged the ceremony virtually.
