ATS Expo concludes with Tk3.5b in purchase orders for Walton
The largest single industrial fair organised by Walton, the Advanced Technology Solution (ATS) Expo 2024, concluded on Sunday, achieving remarkable success. Walton received purchase orders worth approximately Tk3.5 billion during the fair. At the closing ceremony, held on Saturday night at Hall-3 of the Bashundhara International Convention City in Dhaka, Walton shared the event's achievements.
The chief guest at the event was Sheikh Bashir Uddin, advisor for Commerce and Textiles and Jute in the interim government. Special guests included Commerce Secretary Md Selim Uddin, Director General of BSTI SM Ferdous Alam, and Md Munim Hasan, director general of the Department of Patents, Designs and Trademarks, reads a press release.
On the final day of the ATS Expo, Sheikh Bashir Uddin visited various stalls and inaugurated Walton's cutting-edge "Panorama Series Big-Display" air conditioner. "Walton is making lives simpler with their innovative solutions," said Sheikh Bashir Uddin. "The government has provided policy support to foster local industries, and Walton has effectively utilised it. By exporting Walton's technology products, Bangladesh is gaining recognition globally a matter of great pride."
Md Selim Uddin, while visiting the expo, remarked, "I am deeply impressed by the ATS Expo. Walton is not just leading in manufacturing technology products but also excelling in after sales service. Walton's achievements. highlight the need for more such enterprises in the country. The government will continue providing all necessary policy support to local industries."
SM Mahbubul Alam, stated that the expo generated significant purchase orders, emphasising the company's focus on energy efficient and eco-friendly products "We have heavily invested in product research and innovation to achieeve this. To sustain and grow local industries, it is crucial to develop relevant policies and ensure investment protection", he noted.
Sm Nurul Alam Rezvi highlighted the expo's success, stating, "This year's ATS Expo was organised on a grand scale, similar to last year, to showcase walton's industrial and manufacturing capacities to local and international entrepreneurs. The objectives of this year's expo have been fully achieved."
SM Shamsul Alam, mentioned that the response exceeded expectations. "High-level representatives from government and private sectors, along with key figures from numerous local and foreign companies, visited the expo, offering widespread appreciation for Walton's initiative. We extend heartfelt gratitude to everyone involved in making this event a resounding success."
The ceremony was also attended by Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC Chairman SM Shamsul Alam, Vice-Chairman SM Ashraful Alam, Managing Director SM Mahbubul Alam, Director SM Nurul Alam Rezvi, Walton's brand ambassadors Siam Ahmed and Bidya Sinha Mim, along with other senior officials, representatives from government and private organisations, and a large number of visitors.
