BIDA conducts workshop on one-stop service centre
"Services provided through BIDA's One Stop Service, Benefits of receiving from the One Stop Service Portal and the current status of BIDA's One Stop Service" was held at BIDA's Multipurpose Hall.
BIDA Executive Chairman (Senior Secretary) Mr Chowdhury Ashiq Mahmud Bin Harun was the chief guest in the workshop.
BIDA Executive Member Mr. Shah Mohammad Mahbub presided over the workshop. In addition, BIDA Executive Member Dr Khandaker Azizul Islam and BIDA Secretary Dr Dewan Md. Humayun Kabir was present as a special guest.
At the workshop, BIDA Director General Mr. Jiban Krishna Saha Roy presented an update on the One Stop Service. He said that BIDA has signed MoUs with 52 organisations and that the One Stop Service has provided 134 services from 44 organisations to investors.
During the workshop, representatives of various participating organisations received feedback and suggestions. They also reviewed the services obtained through the BIDA One Stop Service and provided their opinions.
As the chief guest at BIDA's One Stop Service Workshop, Mr Ashiq Chowdhury told investors, "Do not go to any other institution, but avail services only through BIDA One Stop Service Portal."
He further said, "By adopting digital services, we will be able to provide you with investment services at a lower cost and in the fastest time from the same platform. This will allow us to capture more data, making it possible to easily migrate more data by storing it."
He added, "We are working to stop manual services, and in the future, services will have to be received digitally and virtually. In addition, to assist investors, we are considering creating a list of reputable legal consultants who can provide sound investment advice."
Addressing investors, he said, "The feedback you have provided will be helpful in our policy formulation and decision-making."
