IDLC appoints M Jamal Uddin as its very first homegrown CEO and MD
Jamal’s appointment was confirmed at the 301st board meeting of the company
IDLC Finance Limited has appointed M Jamal Uddin as its chief executive officer (CEO) and managing director (MD).
With over 27 years of experience in the financial sector, he is the first homegrown CEO and MD of IDLC, said a press release on Tuesday.
Jamal's appointment was confirmed at the 301st board meeting of the company.
Prior to the confirmation of his appointment as CEO and MD, M Jamal Uddin has served as the acting CEO and MD of the company. He also served as Deputy Managing Director (DMD) and Head of Business of IDLC Finance before taking up the responsibilities as acting CEO and MD. Jamal joined the company as a management trainee back in 1994
M Jamal Uddin completed his BBA and MBA degree from International University, Missouri, USA.
Regarding Jamal's new employment confirmation, Chairman of IDLC Finance Limited Aziz Al Mahmood said, "M Jamal Uddin's rise to the position of CEO and MD is well deserved, and showcases IDLC's strength in mobilizing resources effectively for the future growth.
