Islami Bank inaugurates Patherhat Branch in Raozan, Chattogram
Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC inaugurated the 397th Patherhat Branch at Raozan in Chattogram with all the facilities of Shari'ah-based modern banking on 24 November. Obayed Ullah Al Masud, chairman of the bank, addressed the programme as the chief guest through a virtual platform.
Professor Dr M Masud Rahman, chairman of the Risk Management Committee, and independent director Mohammad Khurshid Wahab were present as special guests. Mohammed Monirul Moula, managing director of the bank, presided over the event. At the same time, Professor Dr Mohammad Abdus Samad, member secretary of Shari'ah Supervisory Committee, presented a keynote on welfare-oriented banking. Md. Omar Faruk Khan, additional managing director and Md. Maznuzzaman, executive vice president, were also present at the event. M Zubayer Azam Helali, executive vice president and head of Chattogram North Zone, addressed the welcome speech and Mohammed Nurul Abser, head of Patherhat Branch, gave the vote of thanks. Dharmapriya Mahathero, Education and Cultural Secretary of Bangladesh Bouddha Bhikkhu Mahasabha, Mir Aslam, Senior Journalist of Raozan Press Club, Mohammed Jane Alam, Shovomoy Das Raju and Mohammed Shahajan Monju, social elites addressed greetings on behalf of the guests. Meah Md. Barkat Ullah, head of Chattogram South Zone, along with officials from the head office and different branches, local eminent personnel, businessmen, well-wishers and dignitaries, also attended the event.
In his speech as chief guest, Obayed Ullah Al Masud affirmed that Islami Bank is the largest and strongest bank in the country. He noted that clients have accepted Islami Bank with more faith in the new Bangladesh. Customers are availing services smoothly at all branches of Islami Bank.
