Md Maniruzzaman elected chairman of Eastern University
Md Maniruzzaman Molla, a successful business entrepreneur and philanthropist, has been elected as the new Chairman of Eastern University's BOT.
The Board meeting was held on 21 September 2024. His significant contributions to economic development, employment opportunities, and expansion in the education sector make him a promising leader for the university's future.
Maniruzzaman Molla plays a significant role as a director of Union Label & Accessories Limited, Union Electronics Industries Limited, Glossy Design, and Trust Islami Life Insurance Limited. He is also Vice President of the Bangladesh Garments Accessories & Packaging Manufacturers & Exporters Association (BGAPMEA). He founded some educational institutions, such as Hafizia Madrasah, an Orphanage, Lillah Boarding, a Mosque, and other social institutions.

As the new Chairman, Mr Maniruzzaman Molla will contribute significantly to the overall development of the university with his vast experience in various fields. The members of the Eastern University Foundation and the Board of Trustees warmly congratulated Maniruzzaman Molla and expressed their full support to the new Chairman. Mr. Md. Maniruzzaman Molla also thanked all BOT members and sought their full cooperation.
The Board also expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Mr Mohammed Ali Azzam, outgoing Chairman, for his exceptional efforts and significant contributions during his tenure in the university.
