Midland Bank PLC organised agent banking conference 2025

Midland Bank PLC. formally launched its first Agent Banking Centre at Tarabo, Rupganj, Narayanganj, on 23rd January 2017 to bring modern Banking services to the unbanked masses.

Currently, the Bank operates 140 Agent Banking Centres in 29 Districts and 71 Upazillas across the country.

The Bank organised the Annual Agent Banking Conference 2025 at Lake Shore Hotel, Gulshan, in Dhaka on 18^th January 2025. Md. Ahsan-uz Zaman, Managing Director and  CEO of the Bank presided over the conference. Agent owners and representatives of all the 140 Agent Banking Centres of the Bank participated in the daylong conference. Mr. Ahsan Khan Chowdhury, Honourable Sponsor and Director of the Midland Bank, and the Chairman of the Country's renowned Business house PRAN-RFL Group, attended and presented a motivational speech at the conference.

 Amongst others, Md. Zahid Hossain, Deputy Managing Director, Javed Tarek Khan, Head of Institutional Banking Division, Members of Midland Bank Agent Banking Rollout Committee, Divisional Heads, Heads of Branches, and Business Development Officers of Agent Banking Centres were also present on the occasion.

At the end of the conference, a prize-giving ceremony was also held. The Bank distributed crests and certificates to the top performers in different categories.
