NCC Bank hosts workshop on cluster financing in Dinajpur
NCC Bank organised a daylong workshop on "Cluster Financing" at Dinajpur, aiming to enhance the understanding and implementation of cluster-based financial solutions for businesses. The workshop saw participation from 104 officials of 42 scheduled banks and financial institutions, along with 90 entrepreneurs from Dinajpur district.
The event was inaugurated by Md. Rafiqul Islam, Executive Director of the Rangpur office of Bangladesh Bank, who attended as the Chief Guest. Md. Zakir Anam, Deputy Managing Director of NCC Bank, graced the occasion as the Special Guest. Other notable guests included Md. Shafiqul Alam, Additional Director of Bangladesh Bank, Sharif Mohammad Mahsin, Senior Vice President (SVP) and Head of SME & Agri, and Md. Omar Sharif, Regional Head of North Zone, NCC Bank. Md. Kamal Hossain, Manager of NCC Bank's Dinajpur Branch, and managers from other scheduled banks also attended the workshop.
Md. Rafiqul Islam emphasized the importance of cluster financing and expressed that the banking sector will continue advancing with regional-based financing strategies. He noted that this approach would significantly contribute to economic growth and stability.
In his speech, Md. Zakir Anam highlighted the various advantages and prospects of cluster financing. He reassured attendees that NCC Bank would lead this initiative in line with the guidelines provided by Bangladesh Bank, ensuring the growth and development of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the region.
