NRBC Bank provides loans to expatriates at probasi mela in Chandpur
On the occasion of International Migrants Day and National Expatriates Day, the Chadpur District Administration and District Employment and Manpower Office organised a Probas Mela.
NRBC Bank provided loans worth Tk 2.11 crore to 6 expatriates at the fair on 18 December 2024.
Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Mohsin Uddin was the chief guest and handed out the loan cheques. Additional Deputy Commissioner Mostafizur Rahman, Additional Superintendent of Police Rashedul Haque Chowdhury, NRBC Bank's Chandpur Region Head Mohammad Faruk Hossain, and others attended the event.
The loan recipients are Monirul Islam, Majeda Akhter, Nargis, Taslima Begum, Nurjahan Begum and Ayub Ali. To meet the various needs of expatriates, NRBC Bank has launched a program called 'Probas Bandhu'. Under this project, loans worth Tk 131 crore have already been given to the family members of 1,835 expatriates. Out of this, the most significant number of Probas Bandhu loans have been distributed in Chandpur. NRBC Bank set up a stall at the expatriate fair to encourage expatriates and their relatives to send remittances through the bank and to inform them about banking services.
