Prime Bank appoints Nazia Kabir as first female Independent Director
Nazia Kabir, a partner at the renowned legal advisory firm "Syed Ishtiaq Ahmed & Associates" and an advocate at the High Court Division of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh, has recently joined the Board of Directors of Prime Bank PLC as the first female independent director.
Nazia Kabir has an extensive academic background. She holds a Bar-at-Law degree from Lincoln's Inn Society, an LLB (Honours) from the University of Wolverhampton, a Master's degree in International Trade Law from Brunel University, and a Postgraduate Diploma from City University. She is also a member of the Bangladesh Supreme Court Bar Association and the Dhaka Bar Association.
With over 20 years of experience, Kabir has provided legal counsel across various domains, including company and banking law, project financing, public-private partnerships, mergers and acquisitions, and mediation and arbitration proceedings. Her appointment marks a significant step towards diversifying leadership at Prime Bank.
