"Run for Cancer Awareness 2025" organised by Himu Paribahan
"Run for Cancer Awareness 2025" Successfully Completed Dhaka, 2025: The "Run for Cancer Awareness 2025" was successfully held to raise awareness about cancer.
The run started from the Central Shaheed Minar at 8 AM and passed through Doel Chattar, TSC, VC Chattar, and Swadhinata Sangram Chattar before concluding at Shaheed Minar.
Distinguished guests at the event included renowned cartoonist and editor of Unmad, Ahsan Habib, the first Bangladeshi woman to conquer Everest, Nishat Mazumder, two-time Everest conqueror M. A. Muhit, musician and traveller Konok Aditya, Dr Habibullah Talukder Raskin, Project Coordinator of the Community-Based Cancer Hospital at Gonoshasthaya Kendra and Head of the Preventive Oncology Department, and Dr Mumit Al Rashid, Head of the Persian Language and Literature Department at Dhaka University.

Also in attendance were world traveller and author Eliza Binte Elahi, Ironman World Championship and Ironman 70.3 Championship finisher Arafat Hossain, among others. In his speech, Ahsan Habib emphasised, "There is no alternative to cancer awareness. A healthy diet and regular exercise are essential.
Running can be an excellent form of physical exercise." Other speakers also stressed the importance of cancer awareness and called for expanding Himu Paribahan's initiative across Bangladesh. At the end of the run, participants were awarded certificates.
The registration fees from "Run for Cancer Awareness 2025" were donated to the relevant unit at Dhaka Medical College Hospital through the Department of Social Services. Beacon Pharmaceuticals PLC, Healthcare Pharmaceuticals Limited, and Aun's Kitchen supported this event, which Himu Paribahan organised for seven months.
