International SME Fair in Ctg to start from Dec 21
Seven banks and 45 institutions specialising in plastic, leather, jute, processed food, and tourism among others, will take part
A three-day international fair on small and medium enterprises (SME) will be held in Chattogram from December 21, Saturday.
The event will be organised by the Chattogram Chamber of Commerce and Industries (CCCI) at the World Trade Centre of the port city's Agrabad area.
Commerce Secretary Dr Md Jafar Uddin will inaugurate the fair, according to a press conference held at the CCCI on December 19.
Nineteen stalls in the prime zone and 38 stalls in the general zone will participate in the fair, said Mahbubul Alam, president of the CCCI.
"This SME fair will be organised to help enterprises promote, market and export local goods," he said.
He added that 7 banks, along with 45 institutions specialising in plastic, leather, jute, agricultural products, handicrafts, Jamdani, packaging, processed food, tourism, Cumilla's Khadi, etc. will take part in the fair.
The event will be open to all from December 21 to 23 (10 am to 8 pm).
