Ctg international steel conference in September
Ahead of the event, a three-member Indian delegation is coming to Bangladesh on 11 June
The 3rd International Steel Conference-Emerging Bangladesh is going to be held in Chattogram city in September to bring industry leaders together with global suppliers to discuss technology, trends, and potential business opportunities.
The two-day conference – which will be attended by some 500 delegates representing 25 countries including Bangladesh – will kick off on 20 September at the Radisson Blu Chattogram.
Many countries including Germany, Australia, Turkey, India, Austria, Taiwan, China, Japan, and the USA will take part in the conference.
A large number of specialised industrial machine manufacturers, industrial consultants, steel product users, and engineers from various industry groups will attend.
Well known local companies such as PHP Family, BSRM, GPH Steel, KDS Group, Golden Steel, Rahim Steel, Anwar Steel, and Bashundhara Steel will join the event.
The conference will focus on the quality of steel products, especially long and flat products, the scarcity of steel raw materials and remedies, and the most successful and sustainable modern technologies.
A three-member delegation from India, led by Sumit Agarwal, director of the SteelMint Group of India, is also coming to Bangladesh on 11 June. Agarwal will meet with all steel associations and various industrialists at the conference.
The conference will incorporate interactive panel discussions addressing various topics including the steel industry in Bangladesh, the future of the global shipbreaking sector, new technologies, and government policies.
Foreign and local experts will speak in a number of special sessions on marketing policy, global raw material prices and ship recycling, especially the post-Russia-Ukraine war trade, and more.
Sufi Mohammad Mizanur Rahman, an Ekushey Padak-winning industrialist and chairman of PHP Family, will inaugurate the two-day conference. SteelMint Limited, a joint venture of India and Bangladesh, is going to arrange the event.
