DSEX, the main index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), witnessed a downward trend amid low turnover in the first one-and-half hour of trading session on Sunday.
DSEX fell by 0.16% or 9.55 points to settle at 5,714.
During this session, DSE turnover dropped by 22% to Tk297.45 crore.

Beximco Limited leads the turnover chart with trading worth Tk67.85 crore and its share price rose by 3.41% to Tk87.90 each.
Moreover, DSE Shariah index DSES lost 0.01% to 1,280 points and the blue-chip index DS30 fell 0.16% to 2,187 points.
During this session, 106 companies share price rose, while 132 issues fell and 99 issues price remain unchanged during the session at the DSE.
The benchmark index CASPI at the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) rose by 2.23 points to 16,677 till 11:30 am.
