Indices of the both stock exchanges witnessed an upward trend amid low turnover in the first one-and-half hour on Wednesday.
According to market insiders, most of the companies' share price have seen a downward trend due to the last five consecutive days' fall. That is why investors pouring money to buy low cost shares. Turnover dropped at the stock exchanges because of the investor's cautious invest.
DSEX, the key index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) rose by 1.10% or 58.56 points to 5,376 till 11:30 am.
While, 199 companies share price rose, 28 issues fell and 76 issues price remain unchanged during the session at the DSE.
During this session, DSE turnover dropped by 21% to Tk194.56 crore.
The benchmark index CASPI at the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) gained 172 points to 15,555 till 11:30 am.
