Strong females from comics to movies
Female superhero flicks have had major success with audiences always with Marvel and DC movies.
We have obsessed over male superheroes like Superman or Spider Man for some time now. It is time that we shed some of the limelight on the female superheroes out there.
Female superhero flicks have had major success with audiences always with Marvel and DC movies. We are now going to talk about the top ten of these female super villains.
Wonder woman
As a DC Comic legend, Wonder Woman possesses superhuman strength, flight, durability, agility, speed and an array of enhanced senses, that undoubtedly make her one of the biggest superhero threats of all time.
Catwoman
Although the 2004 film may not have received the most stellar reviews, it is still important to include this film just the same. The main character, Patience Philips, played by Halle Berry, served some of the most epic and slick leather superhero looks there are.
Captain Marvel
The film is centred around the Marvel Comics character Carol Danvers, who is a former U.S Air Force pilot, doubling as Captain Marvel. Brie Larson, who plays Captain Marvel, is not only a talented pilot and experienced soldier, but she also possesses superhuman strength, invulnerability and the power of flight, making her one of the strongest heroes in the Marvel Universe. Throughout the film, Captain Marvel joins the Starforce team all the while finding herself caught in the middle of a galactic war between two alien races. In addition to what is expected to be a phenomenal film, Captain Marvel is the first female superhero movie from Marvel Comics, making it quite a big deal!
THE WASP
Despite sharing the screen with Ant-Man, The Wasp definitely held her ground throughout the film, and could easily take on a solo film in the future. With abilities of size manipulation, flight, bio-electric energy blasts, and telepathic insect control, The Wasp is one superhero you do not want to mess with.
Harley Quinn
Similar to the previous entry, Suicide Squad may not have been a female-led superhero film, but it was undoubtedly stolen by Margot Robbie's portrayal of Harley Quinn. The imprisoned DC Comics supervillain gang executed missions in order to save the world in exchange for reduced sentences, and there was one character that had all the eyes and attention on her.
Elektra
The 2005 Marvel Comics flick, Elektra, is definitely deserving of making this list. Elektra Natchios, played by Jennifer Garner in the film, made her first-ever appearance in the Daredevil comics. Although she became a love interest of the superhero Daredevil, it was her violent and acquisitive traits that separated the two. Despite her less than heroic features, it wasn't until the assassin-for-hire was given a task that finally shook her conscience into protecting a target rather than taking them out. While the film didn't win any Oscars, it depicted a strong female character with kick-ass moves, all the while doing so in a conspicuous red bustier that only someone like Elektra could pull off.
JEAN GREY
Jean Grey's portrayal of the Phoenix is undoubtedly worth a mention here. Jean Grey is hands down one of the most powerful mutants to ever exist, however, when her uncontrollable powers as the Phoenix come through, she is essentially unstoppable. Jean Grey, the Pheonix, is responsible for nearly destroying all of San Francisco and killing Wolverine, making her a force to be reckoned with, but for the all destructions. The film itself is also incredible, with a compelling storyline revolving around a mutant cure and the war between the followers of Professor Xavier and those of Magneto.
