A two-minute video of an attack on a Sufi shrine that occurred in August 2024 is being virally spread on social media with the the caption, "Hindu temple status in Bangladesh yesterday."
The Ali Pagla shrine in Sirajganj was attacked by Imam Golam Rabbani and his men, following which the villagers of the area sacked him.
Multiple Bangladeshi news agencies reported on the incident, and Indian media has published some fact checking articles in the wake of the video's viral spread.
