‘Angrezi Medium’ to be re-released due to coronavirus
The movie will be re-released once it is safer for masses to be gathered publicly inside theatres
The coronavirus pandemic has severely affected the film industry worldwide. Theatres are being shut down in several parts of the country as per the state-government's directive to avoid mass gatherings till March 31. Amid the viral outbreak, two Bollywood films have been released – Baaghi 3, starred by Tiger Shroff and Shraddha Kapoor and Angrezi Medium, starred by Irrfan Khan and Kareena Kapoor.

To counter the losses initially, the makers of "Angrezi Medium" have decided to re-release the film. Making the announcement on his official Instagram handle, director Homi Adjania put up a story on the social network where he wrote: "At midnight all theatres will close across India till the authorities give us further notice. We will re-release 'Angrezi Medium' when it is safe to do so. Till then stay safe and be kind to each other."
Producer of the film Dinesh Vijan, on a statement, said: "Angrezi Medium has been a journey I shall cherish all my life. The one thing I've learnt from its making is that whatever be the obstacle, if we pour our heart and soul into something, the universe will have our back."
"As the film now reaches India, we have already received unabashed love from Dubai and other international territories. Due to unforeseen circumstances it will however not release in Kerala, Delhi and Jammu & Kashmir," the producer said.
"We hope for the same affection and support you've been giving us since day one. Our movie will reach these places when the time is right, but rest assured, just like Irrfan said, 'wait for us'," he added.
